Will Hum is a principal and co-founding partner of Clear Space and leads the strategic vision and creative direction. He is an advocate for smart and minimalist ideas that make a big impact. To Will, design is only as successful as its ability to solve a client’s specific challenges. With that in mind, he approaches every assignment with a combination of clear thinking, calm demeanour, imaginative design and an eye to the big picture.
Will has shaped the identities and communications for some of Canada’s most notable organizations, garnering numerous awards and accolades for his work along the way. He is an active contributor to the design community, frequently working with the Association of Registered Graphic Designers and local and US colleges like George Brown, Humber, Centennial and San Francisco State University, where he provides mentorship to young designers, participates in discussion panels, conducts speaking engagements, and judges award competitions.
Paul Ratchford is a principal and co-founding partner of Clear Space where he leads communications strategy and directs all digital projects, including user experience design. Paul is driven by a strong belief in the emotional and persuasive powers of design thinking. For Paul, good design is the key to attracting, engaging, and compelling people to interact with a brand. He is passionate about helping his clients harness the vast potential of outstanding design combined with technology to achieve their business goals.
Paul is a past director on the board of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers. He has developed award-winning solutions for clients in industries ranging from financial services to retail to not-for-profit. With almost 25 years in the industry he continues to love learning something new every day.
