St. Michael's Hospital
As more people move into large urban areas St. Michael’s Hospital is leading the way with a health care program specifically designed for the needs of city dwellers. The program had never marketed their knowledge and expertise and felt it was time to get the word out. In response, Clear Space executed a unique and dynamic publication to help tell their story. The publication opens with a full bleed photo essay and bold statistics that highlight the complex health care needs in the core of downtown Toronto. It's quickly followed by a mixture of candid and real photos of patients, doctors and equipment carefully positioned amongst concise copy, sidebars, call outs and diagrams.

"This brochure is an excellent piece of targeted communication. Through sharp, evocative images, it presents the raison d'être of the hospital. It shows prospective donors precisely whom the hospital serves. Its careful use of statistics illustrates why these services are essential. The piece is not over-designed, the copy is simple and straightforward and the low-key design does not give donors the impression that the hospital is spending a lot of the funds on marketing materials."
